School is starting…

T minus 3 days until my last semester of my associate degree begins. Woah, that came fast! And in two weeks I will start homeschooling my son.

When I say my stomach is in my anus, I exaggerate you not. All the feelings come to mind: how will I run my business, complete my homework, teach my child, keep my house clean, cook dinner, keep my mind sane… oh and his sports… and church. And the holidays. How the hell do people maintain friendships and relationships during this period?

“It’s ok, Lynn. You can do this! Plenty of moms do this every day… right?”

Don’t get me wrong, I signed up for all of this knowing each would stack on top of the other. I knew the responsibility load that each held.. I can and will do it.. and I reserve the right to say I’m scared. I’m scared of the transition period. Where I’m finding my footing, adjusting to the change in routine, discovering what works, what doesn’t, and what needs to be altered.

Life has been a lot of change over the last 18 months. You’d think I’d have grown accustomed to the shifts- I have not! It’s quite perplexing, too. I don’t necessarily like the mundane, but I do enjoy knowing what to expect. How’s that for complexly simple!?

What I do know is the past version of me thinks I’m a badass and the future me will appreciate the hard work I’m putting in now.
